23 months and counting

Claire is quickly approaching age 2, although she acts like she is 8!!! She is looking forward to her birthday, she knows it's "her" birthday and that she is two. She will gladly show you two on her fingers with the help of the other hand!! She is quite the character, always making us laugh. I have included a few pictures that did just that! She loves to dance and wear her outfit. We carved our pumpkin last week and she enjoyed playing with all the slimey insides. Then on Sunday we took her to the pumpkin patch. She rode the pony, which was her favorite. Trav and I were not sure if she would actually do it, but there was no fear. She actually didn't want to get off and the lady let her have a free one! We are so proud and amazed by all she can do, it seems like just yesterday we were coming home from the hospital with our new baby.

Speaking of baby, my pregnancy is going great. We still do not know the sex of the baby, somedays it's a brother and somedays a sister. I feel great and Claire loves to hug, kiss, and talk to the baby.

We are all moved into our house with the help of our family and friends. Trav has been working very hard on the outside getting it ready for sod, which comes tomorrow. So we finally will have him around at night and the weekends, we hope!! We learned that we will not be building a house anytime soon, but we are thankful it's done!!

22 months

Hello everyone, sorry it's been so long, but life with a child is quite busy.

Claire is doing great. She loves to watch Skyler play football, she wears her outfit and cheers "Go Skyler Go!" She's excited to move into the new house, we should be in by October 1st, just around the corner. She thinks that Lucy, our dog, is going to sleep in her bedroom. We'll see about that. She is miss independent. She wants to dress herself, it takes her 15 minutes to put on socks, but she does get them on. She loves to help cook and clean. Whatever we are doing, she's right by our side.

I'll be 20 weeks along this weekend. Half way there!!! We have an ultrasound next week, we could find out what we are having, but we are NOT going to!!! I'm feeling great. Claire loves to kiss my tummy and remind me daily about the baby!!

21 months

Claire is 21 months and potty trained!!! We are all very excited, she's doing great. She loves her curios George big girl undies! She does the "potty dance" after and it is hilarious! It's been pretty easy, we are lucky!!

I've included a few pictures. Claire loves to help me with everything around the house. We baked muffins together and Claire does not like to share the spatula when mixing the batter! We visited the fair this morning. Claire enjoyed all the animals. She especially liked the cows and goats b/c she got to pet them!

We should be in our house next month. Travis is very busy up there every night. Everything is looking great. We are all anxious to get moved in!

Piggy Tails

Hello everyone! This week Claire wore pig tails in her hair for the first time. She was so cute! She didn't know what to think of them at first, then she loved swinging head head back and forth. She took some pictures outside the apartment on your way to Grandma's house. We went to the zoo last week. We got there right when it opened and left before it got too hot. Claire loved the animals, she now asks to go to the zoo frequently!

I had to share with you a picture of how difficult it is to get Claire up and going in the morning. She reminds me of her Uncle Skyler; she needs her blankie, pillow, and milk on the couch with all the lights off b/c they "hurt my eyes". I just laugh and snuggle her!!! Hopefully I won't have to do this through her high school years like Uncle Skyler though!!!

Travis is busy at the house. We are painting now, well I am not painting, Travis, family, and friends are painting. It's a lot of work, but in the end it will look wonderful! We have sent up a make-shift kitchen table so we can still eat dinner together. Claire and I take the food to Daddy! Claire thinks it's fun to have picnics, but Mommy thinks it's a lot of work!!

We go to the doctor for my 12 week check up on August 1. We will have an ultrasound then, not that I haven't sneaked a peek with my mom!!

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the Mann website. I got the idea from a friend and hopefully it will be easier for me to update this weekly rather than email pictures, which I'm not very good at!!!

Claire is 20 months and keeps us on our toes. Lately she loves to play hide and seek, babies, sing, dance, color, and go for stroller rides! She has quite the vocabulary, it's very comical at times!! She loves to help whether it be loading the dishwasher, folding clothes, or vaccuming; she'll do it all or at least try. It's hard to believe she'll be two before long.

I have some exciting news to share with those who don't know, we're pregnant!! The baby is due on Feb. 9. Claire knows about the baby and loves to kiss my tummy. She says "I take baby to house". I think that she will be mommy's little helper when the baby arrives!! We are very excited and will be waiting the full 40 weeks to see what our little baby will be!!!

We are also busy building our new home!! We plan to move in sometime in September. Travis is the general contractor so he is busy up there every spare minutes he has, but it will be worth it in the end!!! Claire loves to go the house, she enjoys playing in the dirt and visiting the horses nearby! We look forward to the day we are out of this tiny apartment!!!
