Fall is here.....

Daddy, Mommy, and Claire headed up to watch Uncle Skyler play football last weekend, Go SDSU!!!! Claire was quite the cheerleader!


Owen loves to wear other people's shoes. It doesn't matter if the shoes are too small or big, he will wear them, so watch out!



Claire requested a Cinderella pumpkin and GG did great!! Claire was torn between Cinderally or a twinkle witch (witch costume that lights up) for halloween, but she decided to be a witch. She didn't want to wear Cinderella's fake hair.




Owen loves his "Bob the Builder" pumpkin painted by GG!!! Owen is going to be Bob the Builder for Halloween, it should be fun!!

September

Summer is over and we are busy with fall activities!!!

Claire started preschool and dance class. Claire loves them both. Today I got to be the parent helper, it was really neat to get an inside peek at what goes on! Claire was slightly attached to me the whole time, but it was fun to watch her interact with her teacher and classmates! This is her second year of dance and she likes to "help" the others!!! Claire has really started to be a big help. She'll do things for me without being asked, plays with Owen so things can get done, gives up toys so Owen stops freaking out!! It's really nice to watch her be the "big sister".

Owen is busy being a boy. He is Mr. Talkative. He's starting to ramdomly tell us he loves us or I want Mommy/Daddy after work. It's pretty sweet. Although we are watching him like a hawk b/c he's so active, he is a little lover. He loves to snuggle and give kisses!! He's "Daddy's Buddy" and "Mommy's Baby"!!!

We stayed home from the cabin this labor day and got a lot of odds and ends done around the house. We painted garage doors, front doors, trim around doors. All things that needed done before we moved in, but that wasn't happening with a pregnant wife who wanted in the house!!!

I'm tryingRe

So, I'm really bad at updating the blog, So sorry, it's just one busy life here at the Mann resident. So here's an update:

Claire is loving summer. She loves to ride in her jeep in the backyard, play in the sand box, and hang out with the big kids in the neighborhood!! She's quite the helper these days too!! I'll ask her to go get me something and in response I usually get, "Well, I'll go get that for you, but you have to get something for me sometime." Like I don't Claire, haha. We recently went to the carnival in town, she loved the rides!! She finsihed vacation bible school which she really liked. That was our first, Claire all alone with people Mommy really doesn't know and she did great. I on the other hand was no liking it and everyone at work had to suffer! We got through it and I think she will do great at preschool this fall!

Mr.Owen is all boy! He loves to push chairs around the kitchen, pull himself onto the table, jump on beds, hit his sissy in the face, say "NO", get into anything and everything that he should not! Claire is tattling on him a lot, but it usually prevents an accident so it's okay now! He's a little chatter like his sissy. He can say almost anything, he just has to want to say the word! Owen is a little lover and gives everyone hugs and kisses in the morning! He may be younger than his sister, but he likes to keep up with her in all the activites! He is starting to look a lot like Trav, he's growing up more and more. Pretty soon we will be totally out of the baby stage, it goes by way too fast.

Trav and I are just working and enjoying life with our kids. Sometimes when it's just us we look at each other and can't remember what life without kids was like, it must have been pretty boring is always our conslusion! Trav has done some landscaping in the front of the house, it look really nice.

Our morning routine: Claire and Owen drink milk and watch cartoons while Mommy gets everything ready!!

I thought I would share pictures of Claire and Owen together b/c they are starting to interact more and play together! Of course Claire picks on Owen and Owen has learned how to push Claire's buttons, but for the most part they get along great! Owen loves to wake Claire up in the morning with snuggles and a few slaps in the face! Claire has been trying to pick Owen up lately, which isn't a good thing. They enjoy having books read together and having a snack!

Busy busy children

Owen is one now and on the go! He started walking last week and now can't get enough of it. He still knows that the quickest mode of transportation is crawling, but he takes extra effort to walk!!! Claire loves playing with Owen, she can always make him laugh. Owen wakes Claire up in the morning with morning hugs and kisses, it's pretty sweet. I love to watch them interact, too cute!!

Claire is busy singing and dancing, her usual!! She is ready for the nice weather and can't wait to ride bikes!

We have been playing and having fun this weekend!! On Saturday we had beautiful weather and we all were outside!! We gave Lucy a bath and cleaned the garage out a bit. Claire had fun entertaining Owen in the stroller. We are looking forward to nice weather so we can get out and burn off energy!!!

Owen will be one year on Friday, it's just crazy to think one year ago he was our little baby. Everyday he does something new and always keeps us on our toes! He has learned how to climb up onto the fireplace and sit there with this little grin on his face. It's pretty cute, but he gets a warning not to sit on the fireplace with that cute little grin. Claire is very excited for his birthday party. She says she going to dance and sing, imagine that!!

Owen's picture will be on Channel six news for first birthdays on Friday morning if you get a chance to catch it!!

Claire got her costumes for dance today. She's going to be a teddy bear and bunny!! All the little girls in the dance class tried them on and showed off for us today! They were warned the costumes are for the recital and then they can't play in them!! I asked Claire if we could take a couple pictures to show people and she told me "No, They are not to play in." I convinced her a couple pictures wouldn't hurt!

Owen started a program called Kindermusik last night. Parent and child go to the hour class and sing, dance, and have a good time with other kids their age. Owen didn't know what to think at first, but he soon warmed up and had fun! He and another child are the only ones not walking, so maybe this will jump start him!!!

Winter Time

They also like to ride in the car together. But, they don't fit so Claire has to hang out of the door!

They love baths together. Claire starts splashing, Owen joins in and in the end Mom's all wet!
Well, the holidays are over and things have calmed down a bit. Trav and I had a great time in Vegas. Good food, no agenda, and a little money won and then played again! Lots of lights and people, we now have a greater appreciation for little old Blair NE, but it was fun. The best part was seeing the kid's faces when we walked in the door, boy were they both excited!!

Owen is cutting some teeth now, so that's been a little rough. He is close to walking, but yet not. One more month and we will be celebrating his first birthday, boy does time fly. Claire and Owen play more and more together each day, it's a lot of fun to watch.

Claire starts parent Sunday school tomorrow. Our church is starting a new Sunday school class for Pre- preschooler and their parents. We'll see how it goes. Otherwise, she is busy dancing and singing everyday. I'm not sure if we have the next Hannah Montana on our hands or what, those of you who see her dance know what I mean!!!
